Overview
Jumio helps you to know and trust your customers online throughout the entire customer lifecycle. Our platform provides services that verify the identities of new and existing users, assess risk and detect fraud while meeting compliance mandates.
Why Identity Verification? Before you do business with a new user, it is important to verify that their identity document is valid and not fraudulent. But what if the ID is legitimate but belongs to someone else? Identity verification is a critical step in stopping identity theft and protecting good customers from deepfakes and bots used in account takeovers.
How it Works The identity verification process involves three steps. ID Check: Is the ID document (e.g., drivers license or passport) authentic and valid Selfie + Liveness Check: Using highly advanced face-based biometrics, we compare the users selfie to the photo on the ID document. We can detect with a high degree of accuracy whether the selfie is of a living person who is physically present - not a spoofing attempt such as a photo, pre-recorded video or sleeping person - and that it is the same person shown on the ID. Risk-based Decision: Jumio calculates the fraud risk and approves or rejects the identity transaction in seconds based on the customers predefined risk tolerances.

What do you like best about the product?
Jumio has made our identity verification process noticeably faster and more dependable and interface feels clean the dashboard is intuitive to navigate and the API integrated well with our existing onboarding tools. The AI powered document and face verification is accurate, which has reduced manual reviews and helped our team process customers more efficiently and setup was well documented, support was responsive when we had integration questions and the time saved has made the investment worthwhile for our mid sized business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumio API integration developer support and strong, but some users still end up needing to retry verification when lighting or image quality isn't ideal. Pricing can also start to feel on the expensive side as verification volumes increase and also like to see additional customization options particularly around reporting and workflow settings so it can better fit a wider range of use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumio has streamlined our customer identity verification process and significantly reduced the need for manual document reviews. We're able to onboard customers more fastest, lower fraud risk and spend less time addressing verification issues. It has helped make our workflow smoother, more efficient and easier to manage.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jumio for its speed, accuracy, and ease of use. The automated document scanning and facial recognition make the verification process fast and reliable without unnecessary friction. The initial setup was straightforward and efficient, with clear documentation and developer tools that made integration quick and smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lighting requirements can sometimes be a bit strict, requiring me to ensure I am in a well-lit area for the facial recognition or ID scan to go through smoothly on the first try.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jumio for identity verification, user onboarding, and compliance checks. It eliminates manual identity verification bottlenecks, prevents fraudulent sign-ups, and speeds up the compliance process.

Users frequently report getting stuck in endless loops where the camera interface fails to detect faces or process valid documents. The web and mobile apps often glitch depending on browser types, lighting, or device camera angles (such as zooming incorrectly on tablets).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me protect my platforms from fraud, meet government rules like Know Your Customer (KYC), and speed up customer sign-ups by using AI and biometrics to automatically check IDs and selfies

What do you like best about the product?
Very useful for speeding up the verification of documents. A bit limited in identifying fake or modified documents. If a more effective system were implemented to combat document frauds, it would be a perfect tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I consider the ability to identify fake or modified documents to be limited. It would also be useful to have a function to block those documents generated or modified with AI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help to exponentially speed up document verification by assisting the client in having a better experience on the site and reducing the need for human intervention.
