Overview
Jumio helps you to know and trust your customers online throughout the entire customer lifecycle. Our platform provides services that verify the identities of new and existing users, assess risk and detect fraud while meeting compliance mandates.
Why Identity Verification? Before you do business with a new user, it is important to verify that their identity document is valid and not fraudulent. But what if the ID is legitimate but belongs to someone else? Identity verification is a critical step in stopping identity theft and protecting good customers from deepfakes and bots used in account takeovers.
How it Works The identity verification process involves three steps. ID Check: Is the ID document (e.g., drivers license or passport) authentic and valid Selfie + Liveness Check: Using highly advanced face-based biometrics, we compare the users selfie to the photo on the ID document. We can detect with a high degree of accuracy whether the selfie is of a living person who is physically present - not a spoofing attempt such as a photo, pre-recorded video or sleeping person - and that it is the same person shown on the ID. Risk-based Decision: Jumio calculates the fraud risk and approves or rejects the identity transaction in seconds based on the customers predefined risk tolerances.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jumio is how straightforward and efficient the identity verification process is. The platform makes it easy to verify customer identities using document verification and biometric checks, while maintaining a smooth user experience. I also appreciate the automation, which helps reduce manual verification work and makes the onboarding process faster. Overall, Jumio provides a good balance between security, compliance, and ease of use.

• The platform's automated system can be overly sensitive. It sometimes rejects legitimate users if the lighting is dim, the camera angle is slightly off, or the ID has minor physical wear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumio solves the breakdown of trust in digital life caused by advanced cybercrime, deepfakes, and automated fraud. By replacing easily compromised traditional passwords and easily faked manual document checks, Jumio bridges the gap between physical and digital identity.

What do you like best about the product?
Jumio is pretty easy to use and makes the verification process quick without too much hassle. The UI is clean, integrations work well and the automated checks save me a lot of time in my daily work. It performs well when there is more workload too, the verification is usually fast and reliable without noticeable slowdowns. Support has been good as well, and overall it's a solid solution with good value for the price.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only small issue for me is that the initial integration can take a little time to get everything working properly. The auto-capture can also be a bit sensitive sometimes, but it's not a big problem overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Jumio, we had to spend more time on manual identity checks and making sure the information was correct. With Jumio, the verification process is much more automated and faster, so we can handle more checks without adding extra work. It saves us time on a daily basis and also helps reduce mistakes during the verification process.

What do you like best about the product?
Jumio's identity verification has been fast and reliable for us, particularly when it comes to ID scanning. The biometric checks, automated fraud detection, and clean interface keep the onboarding flow straightforward and easy to follow from start to finish. It supports a massive range of global government IDs, which is critical for our international users. The automation has helped us drastically cut down on manual review backlogs, speed up verification, and achieve solid ROI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrating the initial API/SDK required a decent amount of developer lift and investment from our team. Additionally, the documentation could occasionally be clearer regarding edge cases

What do you like best about the product?
What stands out most about Jumio is its accuracy and broad international document support. Integrating their AI-driven ID scanning and biometric liveness checks allowed us to automate a major portion of our KYC workflow, which noticeably reduced manual review backlogs. The end-user SDK interface is clean, easy for customers to navigate, and gives us high confidence against fraud attempts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The camera auto-capture can occasionally be overly sensitive to user environment issues—like low lighting or slight lens glare—which can cause valid customers to get stuck in a resubmission loop. Additionally, setting up the initial API/SDK integrations required a fair bit of developer lift from our end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The depth of Jumio’s features is impressive. The SDKs for web and mobile handle document extraction, face matching, and liveness checks seamlessly in a single pipeline. We appreciate how well the platform handles thousands of document types across international jurisdictions, and the automated fraud signals save our compliance team countless hours.
