Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for GigaOps Runtime Guard, and the rate depends on the EC2 instance type you run it on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance, so pricing scales with the compute size you choose. Smaller shared instances like t2 and t3 families bill at lower hourly rates. Larger compute, memory, storage, and accelerated instances (such as m, c, r, g, p, i, x, and u families) bill at higher rates. You are charged only for hours the software runs, with no upfront commitment. Choose the instance that fits your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the chosen type, billed per hour. The rate matches the instance size you select, from small shared instances up to large compute, memory, storage, and accelerated types. Running two instances bills two hourly rates at the same time.
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage or other AWS fees may still apply separately, but the GigaOps Runtime Guard software meters running hours only.
Your rate follows the EC2 instance type you pick, so choosing a smaller instance such as a t2 or t3 family lowers the hourly software charge. Larger compute, memory, storage, or accelerated instances bill at higher rates. Match the instance to your workload size to control cost.
