One billing hour covers one running Amazon EC2 instance of the type you select, loaded with this hardened Docker image on Amazon Linux 2. Each running instance meters its own hours. If you run several instances, each accrues charges separately for the time it stays running.
Software charges meter running time only. A stopped or paused instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. You may still pay underlying AWS fees for attached storage while the instance is not running. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
