What do I actually get for the hourly rate on a given instance type?
Each rate covers one running instance of that specific EC2 type, loaded with PCI-DSS hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. The unit is one instance-hour. Larger instances give more vCPUs, memory, storage, or GPU capacity, which is why their hourly rates differ. Sedetos supports the operating system on every instance choice.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped or terminated instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are billed by AWS, not by this software licence.
If I run several instance types at once, how do the charges combine?
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate. Your total is the sum of all active instances multiplied by the hours each runs. Mixing a small general-purpose instance with a large GPU or bare-metal instance produces one combined invoice, with the higher-capacity instances driving most of the cost.

Go to the EC2 console in your AWS account.
Select Launch Instance and choose this PCI-DSS Level 1 Benchmark Hardened RHEL 9 AMI from AWS Marketplace.
Choose your desired instance type. Networking configuration and storage settings.
