Bunraku is a pre-built Puppet and Foreman package to get you started automating the configuration and management of your computers. We've done the build so you can just get on with using it!
Bunraku brings together two leading products in IT Operations to get you up and running with configuration management without the effort of building and configuring the servers.
Whatever the size of your estate, and whether it's desktops or servers, Bunraku gets you started automating your infrastructure - reducing manual efforts, increasing efficiency and avoiding configuration drift.
Puppet gets you running with Infrastructure as Code, a crucial part of most DevOps practices. Foreman gives you a graphical front-end to reduce the burden of the day-to-day management of the estate.
We have built a solution that is scalable and resilient based on AWS best practices and industry norms. We also offer support with the implementation of the solution whether you are just getting started or trying to work through how to build some custom modules.
As an additional service, we offer Puppet Core licenses for those interested in using the Puppet Core product with more than 25 nodes. Get in touch with us for more information.
Each licence includes:
Hardened binaries & packages.
Core essential agents.
Vendor-backed SLAs for Puppet Core critical/high CVE patches.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run Bunraku on. All seven options deliver the same pre-built Puppet and Foreman package; they differ only in compute capacity. The t3.medium, t3.large, and t3.xlarge options are burstable general-purpose sizes for lighter or variable workloads. The m5.large, m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, and m5.4xlarge options provide steadier general-purpose compute for larger estates. Charges scale with the instance size you select and how many hours you run it. You can start and stop without a contract or commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Do the seven hourly options change what Bunraku can do, or only the compute available?
Only the compute changes. All seven options run the same pre-built Puppet and Foreman package. The t3 sizes offer burstable capacity for lighter or variable workloads. The m5 sizes offer steadier compute for larger estates. You choose based on how many servers or nodes you plan to manage.
Am I charged when I stop or shut down the Bunraku instance?
You pay per hour only while the instance runs. Stopping the instance ends software charges for that time. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply while the instance is stopped. There is no contract, so you can start and stop whenever you like and cancel at any time.
Does my managed infrastructure have to run on AWS, and does node count affect the hourly price?
No. Bunraku installs on AWS, but the servers you manage can be hosted anywhere. Your hourly charge depends only on the EC2 instance size you select, not on the number of servers or nodes managed. Bunraku is designed to scale across small or large estates.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
