Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the running software image, billed per EC2 instance you launch. The price you pay depends entirely on which EC2 instance type you choose. Each dimension maps to a single instance type, spanning general purpose, compute, memory, storage, and accelerated compute families across many sizes. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. There are no tiers or plans to select. You scale cost up or down simply by picking a different instance size, and you pay only for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select. You are billed per hour that instance runs, carrying the hardened Golang on Ubuntu 24.04 image. The rate reflects the chosen instance family and size. Each instance you launch is metered separately.
The software fee meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage or other AWS resource fees may still apply while stopped, but the image itself bills only for the hours the instance actually runs.
