This contract has two separate charges. The Platform Fee covers activating, enhancing, and maintaining the Itemize platform. You arrange this through a private offer by contacting the vendor directly. The Processing Fee is an ongoing charge tied to the volume of items you process. As your document volume grows, your processing costs scale with it. The platform side stays tied to your setup and upkeep, while the processing side reflects usage. You commit to both under one agreement.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one item for the Processing Fee?
An item is a document the platform processes, such as an invoice, statement, check stub, remittance coupon, purchase order, or Explanation of Benefits. Each document processed counts toward your processing volume. The platform handles high daily volumes, so the count reflects total documents run through the system.
Which charge drives most of my bill as document volume grows?
The Platform Fee ties to activating and maintaining the platform, so it reflects your setup rather than volume. The Processing Fee scales with the number of items you run. As document volume increases, the Processing Fee grows while the Platform side stays tied to upkeep. Both charges appear under one agreement.
Do processing costs rise during peak periods like month-end spikes?
Yes. The Processing Fee is tied to item volume, so more documents mean higher processing charges. The platform scales through automated processing rather than added staff, so it handles seasonal or month-end surges. Your processing cost reflects the actual documents run during those busier periods.
