    Overview

    Sierra’s InFocus Clean Core Readiness Assessment, a co-innovation in partnership with SAP, rapidly assesses the customer's code assets and provides a roadmap to Clean Core conversion to enable consumption via BTP on AWS. The assessment interprets data acquired via standard SAP System Scan to provide inventory of Migration Objects, overview of as-is and to-be architecture, Clean Core conversion report, and use case options and recommendations.​

    Sierra’s InFocus BTP Clean Core Readiness Assessment, Provides the detail study of the custom objects of the assessed system, Providing the total count of objects based on object type, object functionality, module wise. The scoring mechanism provides action options for development in clean core whether to go for Redesign or Adapt the objects for clean core.​

    The Sierra Assessment tool has the trained model in SAC predictive service with relevant and irrelevant objects with our ABAP experience. Now we execute this model on top of the entire list of objects from the customer system to Approximately predict the relevant object percentage, which acts as the input parameter for our next SAC effort estimation report.​

    Based on clean core estimation it determines the development days required. Cost estimation for custom objects is derived based on the development days and price per hour for development. Also, tool will propose BTP services that will be required to deploy the development objects in BTP environment.

    The Sierra Assessment tool runs on ABAP instance available under SAP BTP subaccount. The Sierra assessment result provides the information of the customers current custom Object inventory in the existing system (SAP ECC or old SAP S4HANA version system) and the solution for developing these objects in clean core development. This clean core developments shall be done on the latest release of SAP S4HANA, which can be an on-premise or RISE with SAP on AWS Cloud or SAP S4HANA on AWS native. This assessment is entry point to provide the customer suggestion on the hosting of S4HANA on AWS cloud.

    The customer who are willing to move to S4HANA on AWS would be interested on going with BTP option to utilize side-by-side extension development and services in SAP BTP on AWS.

    • A full collection of widgets, conveniently arranged in the assessment's at-a-glance dashboards, afford the user easy understanding of custom objects counts, segregation, and composition.
    • In addition to totaling and analyzing Custom Objects, the assessment provides a handy engine for calculating level of effort required to migrate each to a clean core. Low, Medium& High designations help users easily understand individual object and aggregate cost of migration.
    • CleanCore’s Predictive Services Dashboard helps users minimize time spent estimating resources, time, and cost for migration. In place of these manual task burdens, we feed CleanCore assessments results into an SAC predictive planning algorithm trained on Custom Object Metadata.
