Overview
Accelerator is a high-throughput, enterprise-grade job scheduler designed to meet the complex demands of semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) and high-performance computing (HPC). It is a highly adaptable solution capable of managing compute infrastructures from small, dedicated server farms to complex, distributed HPC and cluster environments.
Highlights
- Capable of running millions of jobs per day, the scalable, event-driven architecture combined with a small memory footprint and sub-millisecond dispatch latency accelerates design throughput and maximizes capacity utilization.
- Accelerator is equipped with a comprehensive set of policy management features including FairShare and Preemption, providing the essential controllability and observability you need to set and alter policies and optimize your workload environment.
- Job preemption and reservations can be used to allow urgent jobs to take precedence over less important jobs. Accelerator can suspend running jobs and resume them once higher-priority jobs have completed, eliminating the need to set aside licenses for urgent jobs.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Start a new VM based on the image.
If you need a public IP address you must select the "Launch through EC2" option and select 'Auto-assign Public IP'.
The default settings for this version provide 8vCPUs and 32 GB RAM. We recommend a 100GB disk. The default security group allows TCP connections on ports 22 (SSH), 443 (NavOps HTTPS), 8141, 9695 (Accelerator HTTPS), 6200 (NavOps/Accelerator license server) and for the head and tasker nodes 4222 (NavOps NATS), 11437, 11495, 11496 (Accelerator) from all IP addresses. We recommend restricting the allowed IP addresses to the minimum ranges required for your networks.
Log in as user "ubuntu" when the VM has started and follow the instructions in ~ubuntu/scalable_accelerator/README.txt
