- Simplified application migration: A structured path to rehost and redevelop applications on OpenShift, minimising complexity and risk.
- Agile delivery model: Three agile sprints covering discovery workshops, a sandpit testing environment, and delivery of an initial use case of an application (application migration candidate)
- Cost and risk optimisation: Highlights risks of inaction while mitigating security vulnerabilities and end-of-life technology risks.
- Expert-led implementation: A dedicated local Integral team, including a Principal Solution Architect, Senior DevOps Engineer, and a Senior Developer, ensures success.
- Security and compliance: Embeds best practices to reduce vulnerabilities and meet regulatory standards.
There are two aspects to the Jump Start:
- Modernisation Discovery and Planning
- Discovery workshops: Interactive sessions to identify requirements, prioritise applications, and define success metrics.
- Migration assessment: Analysis of 5-10 existing applications to determine the high level requirements for modernisation and the migration roadmap.
- Use case prioritisation: A tailored plan to select 5-10 applications for modernisation.
- The team will then choose 1 small application as the Application Migration Candidate.
- OpenShift Implementation and Application Modernisation
- Sandpit environment: Installation and configuration of a test environment to validate OpenShift capabilities.
- Use case delivery: Deployment and modernisation of 1 x Use Case of the chosen Application Migration Candidate, showcasing the value of OpenShift on AWS.
- Delivery of the Discovery workshops and Application: Use Case will be delivered in 3 Agile Sprints of 2 weeks each, with Integral providing 3 staff:
- Principal Solution Architect,
- Senior DevOps Engineer
- Senior Developer
The delivery of 3 Agile Sprints will be scheduled after the onboarding of Integral staff and provision of network access and environment permissions.

- Optional services include additional sprints for further application modernisation, and VM or Bare Metal application migration to containers or alternative hypervisor OpenShift Virtualisation Engine.
- Optional services also include ongoing operational support to ensure long-term success. Integral can also deliver personalised workshops and training to enable internal teams to effectively manage and expand their containerised applications and AWS infrastructure.
