Four options use large compute-focused instances (c6a.8xlarge, c5a.8xlarge, c6i.8xlarge, and c5.9xlarge), which suit heavier anonymization workloads. The t3.medium option is a smaller general-purpose instance for lighter use or testing. All dimensions bill on the same per-hour usage basis, so your cost scales with how long you run each instance and which size you choose. You can match the instance to your data volume and processing needs.

Each option maps to an EC2 instance size. The four c-family options (c6a.8xlarge, c5a.8xlarge, c6i.8xlarge, c5.9xlarge) are compute-focused instances for heavier processing. The t3.medium is a smaller general-purpose instance for lighter use. You pay for each hour that instance runs.
Software charges meter running time only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software fees. You resume charges when you restart it. Note that stored data on a stopped instance may still incur underlying AWS storage fees separate from this software.
You scale by choosing a compute-focused instance for heavier workloads or by running instances longer. The platform supports vertical scaling (a bigger server) and horizontal scaling (more servers). More or larger running instances mean more billed hours, since each dimension bills per hour independently.
