The Gallup World Poll exists to help change the world by finding out what each of the world's 7 billion+ citizens think, feel and desire. Since creating the World Poll in 2005, Gallup has conducted studies in more than 160 countries that include 99% of the world's adult population. The World Poll survey includes more than 100 global questions as well as region-specific items. These data are nationally representative, covering urban and rural areas in each country.
The Gallup World Poll tracks the most important issues worldwide, such as food access, employment, leadership performance, and well-being. Subscribers will gain access to over 14 years of data covering 2005-2020. The Gallup World Poll dataset includes individual level survey responses from over 2 million global citizens - in more than 160 countries - on important issues affecting their lives.
How does the World Poll Work
Each year, Gallup conducts nationally representative surveys of 1,000 households in each country using a core survey instrument. In some countries, 2,000-4,000 surveys will be conducted. Gallup utilizes cell-phone, landline or face-to-face interviewing where appropriate.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.

This listing uses a contract-based pricing model with a single dimension billed in units. You buy access to the World Poll data license under a negotiated agreement rather than a fixed hourly or usage rate. Pricing does not scale across separate tiers or instance sizes here. Instead, one dimension covers the license, and the number of units you commit to sets your total cost. Because it is contract pricing, you arrange terms directly with the vendor. The dataset covers nationally representative survey research collected across many countries, which the license grants you access to.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of the World Poll data license represent for billing?
The listing bills in units under a contract you negotiate with the vendor. The public sources do not define the exact unit scope, such as countries, years, or respondent-level records. To confirm how a unit maps to the data you receive, contact the vendor before you commit.
What data access does the license actually cover?
The license grants access to World Poll survey research collected annually since 2005 across more than 140 countries in over 140 languages. It covers nationally representative data on topics like wellbeing, economics, health, safety, and civic engagement. Respondent-level global datasets are available for purchase.
Is this a fixed subscription or a negotiated purchase?
This uses contract-based pricing, not a fixed hourly or automatic usage rate. You arrange terms directly with the vendor, and the number of units you commit to sets your total cost. A vendor expert typically follows up to scope the agreement to your research needs.
