Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type running Oracle Linux 9. You are billed per running virtual machine, per hour. Each VM you launch counts separately, even if several share underlying hardware. Your rate matches the exact instance type that VM runs.
The hourly support charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue this software charge. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for a stopped instance, are separate and still apply. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
Each running instance bills independently at its own matching hourly rate. Rates do not combine into one blended charge. Your total is the sum of every instance's hours multiplied by that instance type's rate. Larger sizes within a family carry higher hourly rates.

Usage instructions
Connecting to your instance
After launching your supported Oracle Linux 9 instance, the recommended connection method is AWS Systems Manager Session Manager SSM. This provides a secure and fully managed way to access the instance without opening inbound ports. If you choose to connect with SSH, use the default username ec2-user along with your private key file and the instance public IP address. Connect on port 22 using the format:
ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem ec2-user@public-ip-address

Security recommendations
Avoid exposing your instance directly to the public internet. If SSH access is required, restrict your security group to trusted IP addresses only.
This image is fully updated at the time of release and configured for general enterprise use. Some workloads or services may require additional configuration depending on your environment.
