Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a hardened Oracle Linux 10 image that runs on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered by feature; every dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, billed per hour of use. The many options let you match the instance to your workload, from small general-purpose types like t3.nano up to large compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal instances. Your hourly rate scales with the size and capability of the instance you select. You run only what you need and stop billing when instances stop.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly unit is one running instance of the hardened Oracle Linux 10 image on the EC2 instance type you pick. You pay the software rate for that one instance, for each hour it runs. Running two instances of the same type means you pay two hourly rates.
The software rate meters running time. When you stop an instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. Underlying AWS storage or other resources tied to a stopped instance may still bill separately, but the Oracle Linux 10 software charge applies only while the instance runs.
Every instance type runs the same Oracle Linux 10 image hardened with industry-standard frameworks like STIG and NIST. The hardening does not change by instance type. Your hourly rate reflects the size and capability of the EC2 instance you select, not different security levels.

Quick Start
Launch your Oracle Linux 10 instance and connect using SSH on port 22. The default username is ec2-user.
Example: ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-ip-address>

If you connect over SSH, configure your security group to allow access only from your trusted IP address.
This image has been fully hardened with the controls applied and validated before release. No additional hardening steps are required after launch.
