AWS Amplify Gen 2 introduces a modular, TypeScript-first approach to full-stack application development with:

• Enhanced developer experience with typed data models
• Streamlined CI/CD workflows and environment management
• Modular backend components for authentication, APIs, storage, and functions
• Customizable CLI workflows and improved scalability

We use a blue/green deployment approach combined with our proprietary migration accelerator framework to ensure zero downtime during cutover:

Phase 1 - Discovery and Assessment (Week 1) We analyze your Gen 1 project structure, identify dependencies, classify stateful vs. stateless resources, and assess migration complexity. Deliverable: Migration Assessment Report with risk analysis and recommended approach.

Phase 2 - Planning (Week 2) We create a tailored migration plan covering infrastructure, APIs, authentication, storage, and frontend codebases. Deliverable: Detailed Migration Runbook with rollback procedures.

Phase 3 - Execution (Weeks 3-5) We execute the migration using blue/green deployment, transferring stateful resources (Cognito user pools, databases) without data loss while refreshing stateless resources in the Gen 2 environment. Deliverable: Migrated application running on Gen 2 infrastructure.

Phase 4 - Validation and Handoff (Week 6) We perform end-to-end testing, validate functionality, and conduct a knowledge-transfer session. Deliverable: Post-Migration Validation Report, updated IaC templates, and documentation.

• Native mobile app migrations (React Native/Flutter)
• Major application refactoring beyond Gen 2 compatibility
