What does one reserved core represent for billing purposes?
A core is a unit of CPU compute you set aside for testing. The platform runs your whole system on a deterministic hypervisor built around single-core execution, then parallelizes runs across the cores you reserve. More reserved cores let the platform run more scenarios at once, so core count reflects the compute capacity dedicated to your testing.
What do I need to provide beyond the reserved cores to run my system?
You deploy your containerized software, including dependencies, using Docker Compose or Kubernetes manifests. Your software must support x86 hardware. You also deploy a test template client that drives the runs. SDKs help define test properties for several common languages, and a fallback API covers other languages.
Can I run this in my own AWS environment to keep my code isolated?
Yes. You can run the platform in your own AWS VPC. The ephemeral execution environments and container image registry run inside your VPC, keeping proprietary binaries and source code under your control. The control plane stays in the vendor's VPC with customer-isolated, single-tenant compute and databases. A fully on-premise option is not offered.
