Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    The default user for ssh login is 'ubuntu', which also have sudo-privileges. When starting the image in Amazon Marketplace, specify an SSH key and save that as key.pem. Then use ssh to log in to the machine: ssh -i key.pem ubuntu@aws.hostname .

    The image does not come with MOSEK preinstalled. The image supports MOSEK 11.0.20+, which can be installed in a number of ways. The the script /installmosek.sh can install the latest MOSEK distro.

    To install MOSEK globally run: /installmosek.sh

    To verify the installation you can run: mosek /mosek/11.0/tools/examples/data/cqo1.jtask

    Alternatively run /installmosek.sh --help to print other installation options.

    MOSEK can also be installed using python PIP, .NET Core, Julia, Rust. See https://docs.mosek.com/latest/install/installation.html  for alternative installation methods. When installed through these packages, the command line tools may not be available, only the library functionality.

    When running the MOSEK solver in this image, no further license files are required. For further usage instructions, see the MOSEK documentation at https://www.mosek.com/documentation/ .

    Note that only MOSEK 11.0.20+ will run in this image.

    MOSEK can also be installed with Python Pip, Conda, Maven, NuGet/.NETCore, Julia or Rust, and will run without additional licenses.
