You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance type. Every dimension here maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute you pick rather than with users or features. Options span burstable T2, T3, and T3a families for lighter or variable workloads, and fixed-performance C, M, and R families for compute, general-purpose, or memory-heavy needs. Sizes range from small through xlarge. Larger or newer-generation instances carry higher hourly rates. You add AWS infrastructure charges separately, and you can stop or restart the instance anytime.

Each hourly unit covers the OpenVPN Access Server software running on one EC2 instance of the size you pick. You deploy it as an Amazon Machine Image using CloudFormation or the EC2 console. The instance runs the VPN server, generates client certificates, and produces .ovpn profiles for your users.
Software charges meter running instance-hours only. When you stop the instance from the EC2 console, hourly software charges pause. You can restart it anytime. Note that stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for the attached EBS volume and the Elastic IP, billed separately by AWS.
No. Your bill is driven by the instance size and hours run, not by client count. Adding clients uses the built-in script to generate more .ovpn profiles at no extra software charge. To support heavier client load, you would move to a larger instance, which carries a higher hourly rate.

Click the "Continue to Subscribe" button. After subscribing, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on "Accept Terms" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on "Continue to Configuration".
IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the Rocketchat service. The IAM Policy is created and responsible for access Route53 and create Letsencrypt SSL certificates and backing up data to the S3 bucket.
Access the application via a browser at http://<your domain name> or http://<Public IPv4 address>. Product will try to create SSL certificate when its deploying, if domain hosted on route53. If the automatic SSL creation unsuccesful then you have to point domain name into server ip, ssh into server and run /root/certificate_generate_standalone.sh. Admin email using for SSL generation.
