Assemble Nails the Balance of Configurability and Ease of Use

    Reviewed on Jul 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Repo integrations, ease of use, and configurability are the highlights for me. Other tools often compromise simplicity in favor of configurability, but Assemble doesn’t, and it strikes a great balance between the two.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the Kanban view, columns sometimes get hidden when I don’t want them to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me define my workflows using Kanban views, while still giving me strong repo and code integration. A lot of tools tend to do only one of those well, but not both.

It performs very well and stays responsive even when handling large amounts of data. The new UI/UX is intuitive and easy to navigate. It has the required integrations which once setup works seemlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
jQuery for search would be a powerful addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple products using the Spaces feature works flawlessly. It makes it easy to keep everything organized and separated without any hassle.

I like how Assembla combines source code management, issue tracking, and collaboration tools into a single platform, which makes it reliable and easy to manage. It helps keep development projects organized and on track. I appreciate that having these tools on a single platform allows our team to work more efficiently without switching between multiple applications. Overall, Assembla helps streamline workflows and keeps projects organized from start to finish.
