The deployment includes a fully configured Q Business application with web experience, enterprise-grade index, and web crawler data source - all set up according to AWS best practices.
The solution automatically configures advanced features like extended knowledge, direct LLM queries (accessing the full capability of the underlying model), custom AI applications with QApps, and file attachments for document analysis. The web crawler can index any website you specify, making your custom knowledge base immediately accessible through natural language interactions.
If using the Q Quickstart, you can define auto-shutdown functionality that will turn off the underlying resources after a pre-defined trial period, eliminating additional costs. This listing bills through a single contract dimension: the number of Q Application instances (Hosts) you deploy. Pricing scales with the count of Q Application instances you commit to. You choose how many instances to run, and your cost tracks that quantity. There are no separate tiers or usage add-ons. The Quickstart helps you set up and deploy Q Application instances in your AWS environment. To size the right number of instances for your needs, work with the vendor during setup.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each Q Application instance you deploy counts as one Host. The instance is a deployed application that connects to your data and gives employees natural-language answers. You pay per instance, so two separate deployments count as two Hosts. Work with the vendor to confirm your instance count.
Cost scales directly with the number of Q Application instances you deploy. Adding an instance raises your total by that instance's price. There are no usage tiers or overage charges. You commit to a set instance count under the contract, so changes to that count adjust your committed amount.
The Quickstart covers deployment of Q Application instances in your AWS environment. The vendor helps you set up and size the right number of instances during onboarding. Ongoing model usage or added services beyond the deployed instances are not part of the per-Host charge shown in the table.
