Primer Delta bills by the hour based on the host size you run. You choose between two options: Primer Small and Primer Medium, each measured in host hours (HostHrs). This is usage-based pricing, so you pay for the time each host runs rather than a fixed subscription. The two options reflect different host sizes. A Medium host provides more capacity than a Small host to process larger data volumes. You can select the size that matches your workload and scale your hourly usage up or down as needs change.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One host hour is one hour that a running Primer host is active. Billing meters the time each host runs, not the number of users or data volume. Primer Small and Primer Medium each accrue their own hourly rate for every hour the host stays running.
Charges apply per hour that a host runs. A fully stopped host does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS resource fees, such as storage, may still apply while a host is stopped. The software licence meters running time only.
Both meter the same way, by host hours. You pick the host size that fits your workload. Primer Medium provides more processing capacity than Primer Small for larger data volumes. You run one size at a time and pay for the hours that host stays active.
