This platform bills by the CPU core hour, split between two workload types: Kubernetes cores and virtual machine (VM) cores under management. You pay separately based on how many cores of each type you run. The annual subscription options group into Kubernetes plans and VM plans, each offered at 10-core and 1000-core commitment levels. Pricing is usage-based, so charges scale with the cores you manage. Larger commitment levels unlock volume discounts. You can combine Kubernetes and VM dimensions to match your mix of container and virtual machine infrastructure.

What counts as one CPU core hour for billing?
A CPU core hour is one CPU core managed by the platform for one hour. The platform meters each core under management, whether it belongs to a Kubernetes cluster or a virtual machine. Kubernetes cores and VM cores are counted separately, each priced by its own per-core-hour rate.
Which drives my bill more — Kubernetes cores or VM cores?
Both dimensions bill independently and appear on the same invoice. Your Kubernetes core hours and VM core hours each accrue at their own rate. The one that dominates depends on your mix. If you run mostly containerized workloads, Kubernetes core hours drive most of the cost; VM-heavy environments shift cost toward VM core hours.
Am I charged for virtual machines that the platform shuts down to save cost?
Billing meters cores under management by the hour. The platform can auto-shutdown virtual machines when they are not needed and restart them later. When a VM is powered off, it is not actively managed, so it does not accrue per-core-hour charges during that time.
