Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support with a 24-hour response time. MySQL 8.4 LTS, built on a minimal CentOS Stream 9 installation, is included in this AMI, repackaged by Easycloud. It provides a fully configured, enterprise-grade relational database management system, deliberately engineered to deliver predictable stability, enhanced performance, and secure data persistence for mission-critical cloud workloads.
Core Features & Integrations
-
MySQL 8.4 LTS Architecture: Built on the official Long-Term Support release, guaranteeing extended security updates and a stable feature set. It features enhanced InnoDB engine performance, advanced JSON functionality, and secure-by-default authentication mechanisms.
-
Built to Best Practices: Architected and deployed in strict adherence to database operational guidelines, ensuring optimal resource utilization, architectural integrity, and reliable I/O performance.
-
CentOS Stream 9 Foundation: Provides a robust, enterprise-grade underlying OS with deep structural alignment to RHEL, ensuring high security and seamless ecosystem compatibility with AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and traditional CentOS deployments.
-
Cloud Infrastructure Ready: Equipped with cloud-init for automated provisioning and the Amazon SSM Agent for secure, keyless remote management via AWS Systems Manager.
Key Benefits
-
The Ultimate Relational Data Store: By starting with a bloat-free OS, maximum CPU and memory are dedicated entirely to the MySQL InnoDB buffer pool. This makes it the perfect, high-performance backend for enterprise web frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Laravel, Ruby on Rails), modern ORMs (Hibernate, Prisma, SQLAlchemy), and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards (Metabase, Grafana, Apache Superset).
-
Heterogeneous Ecosystem & Migration Anchor: As a universally compatible relational anchor, it provides a seamless migration path from legacy commercial databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and acts as a rock-solid, drop-in alternative to other MySQL variants or RDBMS platforms (MariaDB, Percona, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL). Furthermore, it integrates flawlessly into complex, heterogeneous data architectures, synchronizing easily with modern caching layers, search engines, and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB).
-
Production Ready & Expert Support: Secured with the latest OS patches. It delivers a highly stable environment, fully supported by comprehensive documentation and fast technical assistance (guaranteed 24-hour response time) to ensure your data layer runs smoothly without costly downtime.
Highlights
- Deployed in strict accordance with MySQL best practices to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Up-to-Date LTS: Features the latest minor release of MySQL 8.4 Long-Term Support, ensuring optimal stability and mission-critical reliability.
- Expert Support: Backed by comprehensive documentation and fast, professional technical assistance.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
