Overview
Turn a platform-modernization or integration backlog into a validated architecture and a working first delivery wave on AWS.
Who this is for This engagement is designed for CTOs, CIOs, engineering and product leaders responsible for revenue-critical fintech or B2B software. It is best suited to platforms constrained by fragile integrations, slow releases, outdated runtimes, limited observability, scaling problems or architecture that blocks new products and AI-enabled capabilities.
Standard engagement scope
- Assess one agreed platform, application or bounded component, its integrations, dependencies and business constraints
- Define modernization priorities, target AWS architecture and a phased roadmap
- Implement an agreed first modernization or integration wave such as API enablement, containerisation, serverless decomposition, runtime upgrade, database migration proof or CI/CD and observability foundation
- Validate security, reliability, performance and cost assumptions
- Deliver infrastructure as code, deployment documentation, runbook and next-wave backlog
Timeline and delivery model The delivery plan is confirmed after initial technical validation. A bounded first wave will typically run for eight to twelve weeks, depending on estate complexity, access, dependencies and production requirements. Larger modernization and integration programmes are divided into separately approved waves.
How AWS is used AWS Transform or Amazon Q Developer may support code and modernization analysis where compatible. AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Discovery Service and AWS Application Migration Service may support migration planning and execution. Amazon ECS with AWS Fargate is the preferred container path for suitable workloads, while AWS Lambda supports event-driven and serverless components; Amazon EKS is used only where a clear Kubernetes requirement exists. Amazon API Gateway enables governed APIs. Amazon Aurora or Amazon RDS provide managed relational data services, with AWS Database Migration Service supporting applicable database transitions. Amazon ECR, AWS CodeBuild and AWS CodePipeline support delivery automation. AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK provide infrastructure as code. Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray support observability, while AWS Identity and Access Management, AWS Key Management Service, AWS Secrets Manager, Amazon CloudFront and AWS WAF provide applicable security and delivery controls. Final service selection depends on the existing estate and approved modernization path.
What happens next The initial engagement leaves the customer with a working modernization proof and a prioritised execution plan. Subsequent modernization waves, systems integration, data migration, platform build-out, AI-augmented product acceleration and AI-powered MVP engineering are scoped separately through a customer-specific private offer and statement of work.
AWS service charges incurred in the customer's AWS account are separate from this professional-services engagement and remain the customer's responsibility.
Highlights
- Assessment plus execution: deliver a working first modernization or integration slice, not only a strategy document.
- Business-continuity focus: modernize a bounded component or integration path without forcing a big-bang rewrite.
- Cloudand AI-ready foundation: target architecture, APIs, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, security and observability support the next product wave.
