    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

Once the instance is running, connect over ssh using your private key. For example, ssh -i privatekey.pem ec2-user@ec2-22-22-222.compute-1.amazonaws.com . Run any Java application using $JAVA_HOME/bin/java. You can later change the default to Java 8, if desired. For example, when logged in as root or under sudo, issue update-alternatives --set java /usr/lib/jvm/zre-8/bin/java For more information, consult the Azul Platform Core online documentation: https://docs.azul.com/core/
