simplyblock provides elastic block storage for IO-intensive workloads running in Kubernetes, including databases, OLTP, analytics solutions and file systems. Leveraging EC2 instances with local NVMe disks, the software ensures predictable latency, scalability and efficiency for high-speed storage.
Simplyblock is the next generation of Software Defined Storage, enabling storage requirements for the most demanding workloads. High IOPS per Gigabyte density, low predictable latency, and high throughput is enabled using the pooled storage, as well as our distributed data placement algorithm. Using erasure coding (a better RAID) instead of replicas helps to minimize storage overhead without sacrificing data safety and fault tolerance.
Additional features such as instant snapshots (full and incremental), copy-on-write clones, thin provisioning, compression, encryption, and many more, simplyblock meets your requirements before you set them.
Usage is metered based on the total amount of provisioned storage (the sum of all the size of all provisioned logical volumes) at the end of each full hour. Monthly average of this amount is then billed as a monthly charge.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on how much storage you actually use. Billing tracks effectively used (provisioned) storage in gigabytes at the logical volume level, measured per storage cluster. This is a single usage-based dimension, so your cost scales up or down with the capacity you provision. There are no separate charges for nodes, CPU cores, or raw disk. Pricing follows the storage you use rather than what you allocate. As your provisioned storage grows across the cluster, your billed usage grows in step with it.

What counts toward the effectively used storage that drives my bill?
Billing tracks the storage actually provisioned on logical volumes across the cluster, measured in gigabytes. Because thin provisioning allocates real space only when data is written, you pay for what workloads consume, not what you allocate. Raw disk, CPU cores, and nodes do not count toward the metric.
Are there extra charges for data transfer, IOPS, snapshots, or nodes?
No. Cost tracks effectively used storage in gigabytes only. There are no egress charges, no per-IOPS or per-snapshot metering, and no per-node or per-core fees. Your bill scales with capacity used, which keeps budgeting predictable as the cluster grows.
How does my bill change as storage usage grows or shrinks across the cluster?
Billing follows effectively used storage measured per storage cluster. As workloads write more data, your billed gigabytes rise in step. Online resizing lets volumes expand or shrink without service interruption, so usage can grow gradually. Your cost tracks actual capacity rather than a fixed allocation.
