The Texcio Hardened Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with Security Enhancements AMI is built on the open source Ubuntu 24.04 LTS operating system and has been configured for compliance and security. It includes additional security software, system hardening, and AWS monitoring agents to help customers meet enterprise requirements.
Charges: Fees are applied for packaging, testing, hardening, maintenance, and ongoing support provided by Texcio Inc.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
- Start the instance from the AWS EC2 Console with 1-click launch.
- Access is only via SSH. A key pair must be created or selected during EC2 provisioning. The private key file is only available at creation time, so ensure you download and keep it safe.
- Use the following information to connect: Private key: As created during the EC2 instance provisioning process Username: ubuntu SSH port: 22
- Once connected, you can verify and manage the preinstalled security tools (UFW, Fail2Ban, auditd, AIDE, Lynis) and AWS agents (SSM, CloudWatch).
