The rankings, known as IMDb Meters and GEOmeters, are derived from the interactions of the IMDb audience of over 250 million monthly visitors worldwide. As this audience is composed of passionate fans and entertainment industry professionals, IMDb Meters offer a unique, real-time reflection of the most popular, relevant, and trending content on IMDb.
The product includes three datasets:
Local TITLEmeter: The top 1,000 movies and TV shows per region
Local TVmeter: The top 1,000 TV shows per region
Local MOVIEmeter: The top 1,000 movies per region
Each dataset includes the IMDb GEOmeter rank (refreshed weekly), the unique title ID, the rank date, and the country/region code. By joining the unique title ID with the IMDb Essential Metadata or IMDb and Box Office Mojo package, licensees can leverage IMDb GEOmeters to power a variety of advanced use cases, including:
Surfacing the most valuable content by region through personalized recommendations, comprehensive search, and innovative discovery features - driving increased engagement, retention, and revenue growth
Measuring and modeling title performance by region using the unique insights extracted from IMDb Meters
Ensuring quality control and relevance for AI-generated content by testing and prompting with the most popular titles on IMDb and associated metadata by region
Building brand trust by leveraging insights from IMDb, the world's most authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities
This product is sold exclusively as an add-on to one of the IMDb core data packages (Essential Metadata or IMDb and Box Office Mojo). The final licensing fee is subject to variables including the specific use case and length of term.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a single Contract pricing dimension called Product Access (Units). You subscribe to gain access to the dataset for a fixed term. There are no tiers or instance sizes to choose from. The dataset ranks the top 1,000 most popular titles on IMDb, broken out by region and country, with weekly rankings updated over time. Access is delivered through AWS Data Exchange. Because pricing rests on one access unit, your cost does not scale by usage volume or throughput. You pay for entitlement to the data during your subscription term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of Product Access grant me?
One unit grants your subscription access to the dataset for the contract term. It is an entitlement, not a per-record or per-query charge. You can access the full dataset covered by the listing during your term. The unit does not scale with how much data you pull.
What regions and countries does the ranking data cover?
The dataset ranks the top 1,000 titles by region. Coverage spans four regions (NAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC) and 13 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, and Brazil. Rankings are delivered weekly.
Does my cost change if I access the data more often or pull more records?
No. Pricing rests on one access unit, so your cost stays flat regardless of how often you query or how many records you retrieve. There are no usage tiers, throughput charges, or overage points. You pay for entitlement to the data during your subscription term.
