    CloudFront Version Vault continues to simplify CDN and DNS management by providing visibility, reliability, and automation across configuration changes. With this update, teams gain unified control over CloudFront + Route53, enabling safer deployments, faster recovery, and improved operational resilience.

    Usage instructions

    CloudFront Version Vault v1.3 allows buyers to configure, monitor, version, and restore AWS CloudFront Distributions and Route53 Hosted Zones. The application must be installed on an EC2 instance within your AWS account. Follow the user guide below for complete setup, configuration, and operational instructions.

    How to Configure and Run the Software:

    1. Launch the AMI: Deploy the provided AMI on an EC2 instance (t3.medium or higher recommended).

    2. Access the Application: Once the instance is running, open the application in your browser using the instance's Public IP or Domain: http://<EC2-Public-IP>/ (HTTPS can be enabled after SSL certificate upload.)

    3. Initial Setup: Configure AWS credentials or attach an IAM Role with required permissions for CloudFront and Route53. Set up SMTP details if email notifications are required.

    4. CloudFront Module: Add your CloudFront distributions. View version history for behaviors, origins, aliases, error pages, georestrictions, caching policies, and more. Perform rollback, restore deleted distributions, or copy versions to new/existing distributions.

    5. Route53 Module (v1.3) Add hosted zones for version tracking. Monitor and store every DNS record update. Restore previous versions of hosted zones or recover deleted hosted zones.

    6. Automation & Monitoring Configure cron-based schedules to auto-monitor CloudFront and Route53 changes. Enable deletion detection, auto-recovery, and email alerts.

    7. PBAC & User Management Assign fine-grained, policy-based permissions to users and groups. Control access to specific features, actions, and resources using customizable policies for secure multi-user operations.

    8. SSL Configuration Upload your SSL certificate (.crt) and private key (.key) to enable HTTPS for the application.
