     Info
    Sold by: DevIQ
DevIQ has expertise in architecting scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions on AWS. By conducting an AWS Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR), DevIQ can evaluate an Enterprise's existing AWS workloads and infrastructure against AWS best practices. DevIQ would assess your AWS environment and initiative across all 6 pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. The review can focus on a specific application or Enterprise-wide infrastructure. It generates actionable items that can be implemented immediately to reduce risk and improve delivery success.

    Overview

The DevIQ team of AWS certified professionals have been developing SaaS Applications and Cloud-Native Platforms for more than 10 years. We understand the difficulties of constructing a secure and efficient infrastructure in AWS, especially when time and expertise are limited.

We offer the AWS Well-Architected Framework Review to assist you in optimizing your workloads, streamlining your operations, and enhancing your performance in AWS. Our WAFR uses a systematic and consistent approach to evaluate your current AWS workloads against AWS best practices, providing you with guidance on how to design workloads for the cloud.

Our review process is based on a set of foundational questions across six areas, known as the pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. We assess your AWS workloads against best practices in the following areas:

    • Operational Excellence: This pillar focuses on the ability to run and monitor systems to deliver business value and to continually improve supporting processes and procedures.
    • Security: This pillar focuses on the ability to protect information, systems, and assets while delivering business value through risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
    • Reliability: This pillar focuses on the ability to recover from failures and to dynamically scale resources to meet demand.
    • Performance Efficiency: This pillar focuses on the ability to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements and to maintain that efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve.
    • Cost Optimization: This pillar focuses on avoiding unnecessary costs by selecting the right resource types and sizes based on business requirements, monitoring usage, and taking advantage of cost-effective services.
    • Sustainability: This Pillar of sustainability deals with the lasting ecological, financial, and social effects resulting from your business operations.

Review Process: Our review process includes the following steps:

    1. Initiate the review and collect information about the workload's architecture, business requirements, and operational characteristics.
    2. Understand the current business needs and stage of maturity, including growth drivers, cost constraints, and compliance requirements.
    3. Evaluate the workload against the six pillars of the Well-Architected Framework: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
    4. Discuss findings with stakeholders and create an improvement plan that outlines the recommended changes, their expected impact, and the timeline for implementing them.
    5. Implement changes according to the improvement plan, with support and guidance as needed.
    6. Repeat the process for continuous improvement by scheduling a follow-up review to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented changes and identify any new areas that need improvement.

The AWS Well-Architected Review process helps ensure that workloads are optimized and aligned with key business objectives, by identifying areas for improvement and providing tailored recommendations for addressing them.

    Highlights

    • A WAFR can provide as much value for New Product Development initiatives, as it can for existing applications and infrastructure, including: 1) Identifying gaps in the proposed AWS architecture and making improvements before launch, 2) Strengthening security controls, 3) Providing additional perspective on disaster recovery and backup processes, and 4) Ensuring alignment of the AWS architecture with the Product Roadmap.
    • Additional benefits may include a) Providing a better understanding of how to leverage AWS services. If the Enterprise team is new to architecting in the cloud, they can gain valuable knowledge to apply to future initiatives, 2) If migrating from an existing solution, a WAFR can identify gaps in the cloud architecture. The new solution may have different scalability, security, compliance, or high availability needs than the current SaaS or on-prem solution.
    • Costs of existing AWS services can often be reduced or optimized as a result of a review. AWS is continually releasing new services and often there is a better more cost-effective approach--often with minimal cost to implement.
