You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run this security desktop on. All twelve options bill the same way — only the underlying compute differs. The t2 and t3 families cover general-purpose Intel-based instances, while the t3a family uses AMD-based processors. Sizes step up from medium through large, xlarge, and 2xlarge, adding more CPU and memory at each step. Larger instances cost more per hour because they provide more compute. Choose the size that fits your workload; you can start small and move up as needed.

Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance size running the ParrotSec Web Desktop. The t2 and t3 families use Intel-based processors; the t3a family uses AMD-based processors. Sizes from medium to 2xlarge add CPU and memory at each step. You pay for the running instance-hours of whichever size you launch.
Software charges apply per running instance-hour. When you stop the instance, hourly software metering pauses. Underlying AWS storage fees for the disk may still apply while the instance is stopped. The software meters running time only, so a fully stopped desktop does not accrue software charges.
The hourly price covers the desktop image, accessed through your browser via noVNC. Security features like host firewall, audit logging, and a daily security report come preconfigured. Penetration testing tools are not preinstalled due to AWS AMI approval policies. You install those yourself after launch using the package manager.
