Overview
ResponderAPI is a zero-configuration, zero-coding mock HTTP server designed to make it easy to implement test APIs. Ops, platform engineers can use it to deploy and test mock services before actual implementations are available. It's stateless design allows different APIs to be mocked and tested at the same time. They can also use ResponderAPI to test network configuration and complex deployments without the need to deploy full packages or obtain test licenses from vendors.
On the performance monitoring side, ResponderAPI can be used to establish baseline response times in a cluster, before or even after deploying production services.
Developers can begin writing integration tests against a mock server before they are able to deploy live code. This leads to better integration tests.
ResponderAPI comes with extensive usage documentation, ECS deployment instructions, and examples of tests showing usage of all parameters and implementation of all HTTP methods.
Highlights
- ResponderAPI requires zero configuration to test different APIs. Once deployed you can test multiple services/APIs at the same time thanks to its stateless design.
- ResponderAPI is containerised and ready to be deployed onto ECS EC2 or Fargate AMD64 or ARM64 hosts. You can also deploy it into EKS clusters.
- Secure. ResponderAPI does not store state or transmit it to third parties.

ResponderAPI Container

- Amazon EKS
Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.
Version release notes
Update execution time reporting. Report execution time in microseconds. Make empty attributes optional.
