Powered by a state-of-the-art AI model, NoteGuard detects and redacts all 18 HIPAA-defined identifiers including names, dates, geographic data, phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, health plan beneficiary numbers, account numbers, certificate and license numbers, vehicle identifiers, device identifiers, URLs, IP addresses, biometric identifiers each individually configurable to match your institution's deidentification policy. For longitudinal datasets, NoteGuard optionally maintains consistent date and patient ID shifts across jobs, preserving temporal relationships and cohort structure without compromising privacy. Dimensions summary
NoteGuard prices by the number of clinical notes you deidentify during the contract term. You choose an entitlement that fits your expected volume. The 1,000 Notes and 5,000 Notes options each grant a fixed allowance of notes to deidentify over the term. The 1 Note Deidentified unit measures a single deidentified note, letting pricing scale with actual usage. Together, these dimensions let you commit to a set note volume or track deidentification one note at a time. Pricing scales directly with how many notes you process.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One note equals one clinical note processed through NoteGuard to remove protected health information (PHI). The tool automatically strips identifiers from clinical text before the note enters your data pipeline. Each note you run through the deidentification process draws down one unit from your entitlement.
The 1,000 Notes and 5,000 Notes options each grant a fixed allowance for the contract term. To process more notes than your allowance covers, you would need added entitlement. The per-note unit lets you track single notes beyond a fixed block. Contact the vendor to confirm overage handling.

Vendor refund policy
We stand behind NoteGuard's performance. Refunds are issued only if you were charged for notes that were not properly de-identified. To request a refund, email info@xtasis.com with you're your subscriber AWS account ID, usage reported date, job details, number of affected files and evidence of de-identification failure. Once verified, eligible refunds will be processed within a reasonable time period. For inquiries or other assistance, contact our support team at info@xtasis.com .

Step 1: Generate an SSH Key Pair and Share the Public Key
To access the NoteGuard repository, you must first generate an SSH key pair and send your public key to info@xtasis.com .
How to generate the key:
For macOS/Linux:
