Pilot Migration

Migrating a huge number of applications to the cloud all at once can be scary, due to the complexity and potential risks involved. Some software or applications may behave differently in the cloud, leading to unexpected issues such as compatibility problems, performance bottleneck and integration problem.

The migration roadmap created through our “Cloud Migration Roadmap” service helps mitigate challenges by providing a structured plan that includes priority ratings and suitable migration strategies for each application. To further minimise risk, start with a smaller workload through the “Pilot Migration” service. This provides a controlled transition, ensuring a thorough test of the migration process and validation of the application's performance in the cloud. This approach also provides valuable insights and builds confidence before migrating the rest of the applications to AWS.

During the pilot migration, we will utilize a suite of AWS tools designed to automate various aspects of migration, such as AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS)  which simplifies database migration to the cloud. Leveraging on such tools reduce manual errors and ensure that your applications are optimized for cloud performance from the start.

You can choose from the following options for the pilot migration:

• Small: 1 application, 1 virtual network, 4 virtual servers.
• Medium: 2 applications, 2 virtual networks, 8 virtual servers.
• Large: 4 applications, 4 virtual networks, 16 virtual servers.
