The FinClip SDK is a security sandbox. As an embedded component, it protects the SuperApp host by creating a virtual environment inside the app to contain all mini-program code, which is by not default not trusted, whether it is written by the same team of developers of the SuperApp itself, by 3rd party partners, or even any random developers on the internet.
It is comparable to a docker container indeed, except it runs inside an app on device-side instead of on cloud-side. It isolates mini-program instances from each other. And it insulates the underlying system of device.

You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run FinClip on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so your cost scales with the compute you choose. The options split into two families: general-purpose instances (the m-series and t-series) and compute-optimized instances (the c-series), plus inference-focused instances (inf1 and inf2) for machine learning workloads. Within each family, xlarge and 2xlarge sizes let you match capacity to demand. Billing is usage-based with no upfront commitment, so you only pay for the hours your selected instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what counts as the billable resource?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance of the named type and size running FinClip. You are billed per instance-hour. One xlarge or 2xlarge instance is the billable unit. Running two instances of the same type doubles the hourly charge, since each instance meters separately.
Am I charged when my FinClip instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges meter running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue FinClip hourly fees. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage costs for attached volumes, but those are separate from the FinClip software charge shown in the pricing table.
How do I choose between the general-purpose, compute-optimized, and inference instance types?
General-purpose m-series and t-series instances balance compute and memory for the FinClip SDK server workload. Compute-optimized c-series instances favor processing-heavy tasks like the rendering engine. The inf1 and inf2 instances target machine learning inference. Your hourly cost follows the instance family and size you pick.
