Overview
The AIM Consulting AWS Well-Architected Assessment
This assessment is designed to provide a clear understanding of the current state of all of your AWS workloads mapped against proven AWS design principles and best practices. Our rapid 1-week assessment for each pillar leverages our certified AWS solution architects and tools to generate a report which will include remediation recommendations to mitigate risk and improve AWS workloads, with minimal time and impact on your team.
The AWS Well-Architected Framework helps cloud architects build the most secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure possible for applications. The framework provides a consistent approach for AIM's customers and AWS Partners to evaluate architectures, and provides guidance to implement designs that scale with your application needs over time.
In the AIM Assessment, we will review the 6-pillars:
1. Operational Excellence
- The Operational Excellence pillar includes the ability to support development and run workloads effectively, gain insight into their operation, and continuously improve supporting processes and procedures to delivery business value.
2. Security
- The Security pillar includes the ability to protect data, systems, and assets to take advantage of cloud technologies to improve your security.
3. Reliability
- The Reliability pillar encompasses the ability of a workload to perform its intended function correctly and consistently when it’s expected to. This includes the ability to operate and test the workload through its total lifecycle.
4. Performance Efficiency
- The Performance Efficiency pillar includes the ability to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements, and to maintain that efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve.
5. Cost Optimization
- The Cost Optimization pillar includes the ability to run systems to deliver business value at the lowest price point.
6. Sustainability
- The discipline of sustainability addresses the long-term environmental, economic, and societal impact of your business activities.
At the end of the assessment, AIM will deliver a Well Architected Assessment Presentation and Report. The report covers the in-scope AWS resources and highlights violations from the Well Architected principles. The report also details recommendation steps to remediate findings during the Well Architected Review.
To finalize your engagement, AIM will end with the Remediation Phase. This AWS Well-Architected Remediation program is designed to remediate the identified High-Risk Issues from the assessment, so you can take advantage of the efficiencies, cost savings and other benefits of this approach. AIM follows a prioritized remediation roadmap of short, medium, and long-term remediation goals, based on the core Framework pillars using our AWS Solution Architects with an accurate SOW for the implementation cost.
