A hash-based blast radius malware/IOC search identifies threats across the entire environment, up to 93% faster than traditional malware scans.

Inline entropy analysis and support for quantum-proof cryptography protect your data today and tomorrow.

    Hybrid Cloud Optimized

As you adopt cloud services, NetBackup ensures consistent protection across on-premises data centers and the cloud. Cloud data is available directly from backup storage, allowing users to view data that is compressed, encrypted, and deduplicated. Our support for cloud workloads, cloud targets, and cloud storage has grown dramatically and is unmatched in the industry.

Automated policies and orchestration provide seamless disaster recovery across regions and clouds to accelerate business continuity.

Cloud Scale Technology provides an elastic architecture that optimizes cloud resources and reduces storage costs by up to 90%.

    Automated Operations

Using machine learning and AI-powered automation, NetBackup allows you to manage resources more efficiently and reduce costs. A single, centralized management console performs all backup and recovery tasks across any workload type or location, and our AI-powered Copilot assistant can automatically locate unprotected assets, suggest and apply new protection policies, recommend optimal recovery points, and more.

Leverage multiple service levels for complex, multi-tiered applications.

Instant access to backup snapshots and granular restore options help you get back to business in minutes, not hours.

Create blueprints for disaster and cyber recovery that automate the recovery process.

    Clarify Costs

    Reviewed on Nov 25, 2024
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is the actual cost of an EC2 instance running Veritas NetBackup BYOL? For the Red Hat operating system, do we pay for a Generic Linux EC2 instance or for a Red Hat EC2 instance (including the licensing fee) based on the machine size?
    Example:
    - m5.4xlarge - Linux: $1.2240/hour
    - m5.4xlarge - Red Hat: $1.3970/hour

Could you please clarify what the instance cost would be? I couldn't find this information in the Veritas documentation.

The speed and reliability of the backups, in addition to the different technologies available to perform them.

    Best multi-platform backup used

    Reviewed on Jan 17, 2017
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Using NBU saved me a lot of overheads in integrating different storage units procured over time. I was no longer stuck with a single vendor for my backup and archival needs. The single console management and deduplication are my most appreciated features.
What do you dislike about the product?
NBU is an expensive solution in the market. The peers come with lesser cost. Though dynamic, I had to scrap my backup exec to implement NBU. My 5-year-old investment was non-reusable. This is unexpected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My backup at remote DR is addressed. Save time and operational difficulties.
