Overview
The service includes:
• Project Management of the in-scope design and deployment services
• Discovery and Planning workshops – Gather business and technical requirements for the AWS and EVS environment from the client
○ EVS infrastructure planning
○ EVS consumption planning
○ Network and Security planning
○ Validate in-scope list of VMs and sizing
○ Migration wave planning could include any of the following
⁃ Client provided application list
⁃ 3rd party tool to collect client’s VM information and dependencies
⁃ Client provided CMDB list
○ Introduction to Converge’s Cloud Advisor Team (Fin Ops) for cost optimization
• Design – Design and Document the AWS and EVS environment based on client’s requirements
○ AWS Org and Account structure
○ SSO
○ Network topology to include VPC(s), CIDR/Subnets, Internet Ingress/Egress
○ AWS tagging methodology template
○ EVS environment to include Region, VLAN subnets, Cluster, DNS, DHCP, NSX segments, HCX pre-requisites, LDAP for RBAC, Certificates
○ Operations (alerting, monitoring, logging)
• Deployment of AWS and EVS environment –
○ Deploy AWS landing zone and SSO
○ Configure IAM permissions.
○ Connect to on-prem or another environment using VPN, Direct Connect, TGW.
○ Deploy EVS environment
○ Validation of the AWS and EVS Environment
• EVS Configuration – Post deployment tasks
○ Configure and apply patches
○ Replace Self-Signed Certificates
○ NSX configurations to include segment creation, DNS, basic Gateway firewall rules when applicable, DHCP
○ AD (LDAP integration)
○ Configure appliance backups
○ Perform Converge day 2 best practices
• HCX Deployment
○ Create/Verify HCX VLAN
○ Site Pairing
○ Create Compute and Network profile
○ Create Service Mesh
○ Validation of HCX environment to include migration of 1 test VM
• Conduct an overview of AWS and EVS environment to familiarize client staff with the deployed solution. This overview is specific to the client’s environment and is not a substitute for formal training
Service Deliverables:
• High level project plan
• Discovery and planning materials (In Scope VMs, Network connectivity, AWS account information, licensing, etc.)
• Design Document

○ EVS Environment
○ Monitoring , Alerting, logging
○ HCX
• AWS/EVS as-built document in word or other electronic format documenting the implementation and configuration services outlined above.
• Migration of 1 test VM using HCX
• Migration wave planning
