What do you like best about the product?
I like how Jama Connect has become more aligned with my workflow and how it connects to my existing databases and tools such as Jira and Git.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the legacy tools hard to use, and I notice a reluctance among users to embrace the newer releases. The initial setup took some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jama Connect for requirement traceability, keeping track of requirements through the product lifecycle. It's more aligned with my workflow and connects well with existing tools like Jira and Git.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jama Connect creates full end-to-end traceability from requirements through to validation, giving my team a holistic view of requirements. I also appreciate the AI agents that help facilitate reviews and reduce some of the human effort, which has been a significant roadblock in previous attempts to establish enterprise-wide requirements discipline. The setup was easy, and I absolutely recommend Jama Connect for the semiconductor industry as the best solution available today.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe on-premise implementations of Jama Connect are unable to use the Jama Connect Advisor or JCA, which is a drawback. We would have to find a workaround to use AI agents outside of Jama to help facilitate requirements management processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jama Connect creates full end-to-end traceability, giving my team a holistic view of requirements. It addresses challenges with fragmented documents, and data silos. The AI features help facilitate and fast-track reviews, helping us overcome the human friction in driving enterprise-wide requirements discipline. People are just too busy, and that was always a major objection with past efforts to implement requirements solutions.

Jama Connect makes everything easy to manage. It’s SaaS-based with monthly updates, so there’s no IT required on my end. I also appreciate the new AI functionality.

I really wish my company had switched from IBM DOORS sooner!

What do you like best about the product?
For me personally, I really enjoy how easy it is to create item types and relationships. The customizability of each item type also makes it simple to categorize each item in a way that fits our needs. Outside of Jama itself, the team at Jama has been a great help throughout our implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things we see as needs in our instance of Jama that it currently doesn’t have. However, in our communication with Jama, they’re always willing to listen and take our ideas into consideration for possible implementation in the future.

It helps us manage our requirements really well, and it keeps users aligned with the relationship rules we’ve set.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a relatively intuitive tool that proves beneficial for large sets of requirements (>100) that needs downflowing throughout a product breakdown. The major advantage is explicit traceability and configuration control.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to parse item type fields for e.g. project phase, compliancy statements and verification methods in a requirement into a tabular form instead of a list. This would condense the requirement information in a slightly better overview both for usage in JAMA and as exports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traceability and human error mitigation.
If I would need to downflow requirements in excel than there would be a massive overhead in maintaining requirements and making sure that all requirements are consistent with each other. Besides that, JAMA helps reducing potential human errors by automating menial tasks such as checking affected requirements during updates of sets.
