Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 EUS image, billed per running EC2 instance. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you launch. There are no tiers or commitments. Larger instance types, such as high-memory or GPU families, carry different hourly rates than smaller general-purpose types. You add up the hourly software cost for each instance you run, alongside standard AWS infrastructure charges. Vendor support and image updates are included at no extra software charge.

One unit is one running EC2 instance of the matching type. You pay the software rate for each hour that instance runs. The rate is tied to the specific instance type you launch, such as a general-purpose, memory-optimized, or GPU family. Each running instance meters separately.
The software fee meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue this hourly software charge. You may still pay standard AWS charges for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but those are separate from the software rate.
No separate software charge applies for updates or support. The image includes repository access configured to keep it current at no added cost. You can also email the vendor for support and image customization requests.

To connect to the VM:
- Use SSH to connect
- Username provisioned inside is: 'ec2-user'
- Use the SSH key provided at the launch of the instance
- Run 'sudo su -' to get a root prompt
