You use a REST web service API to extract location data from English text. Batch requests can group multiple items into fewer network calls. This structure separates your base access from your actual usage, so charges grow with volume.

What counts as one successful API request for billing?
A successful API request is one call to the REST web service that returns a result from the geoparser. You send text, and the service extracts place mentions and returns their locations. Only calls that return a result are charged. You can group multiple items into batch requests, but each returned call still counts.
How do the two dimensions combine on my invoice?
Product Access grants your subscription to the service. The per successful API request charge meters your actual usage. Both apply together on the same invoice. Product Access sets your base entry, while request volume drives the variable portion. Your total rises as you send more successful requests.
Am I charged for API calls that do not return a result?
Charges apply per successful API request only. Calls that fail or return no result are not billed under that dimension. Your usage cost tracks the number of successful calls the service completes. Sending batch requests reduces network delays but does not change how each successful call is counted.
