This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for independent AWS packaging, validation, maintenance and setup documentation. The Ansible project publishes ansible-core under GPL-3.0-or-later; Software Sushi supplies the AMI recipe, digest-pinned PyPI wheel, pinned ansible.posix and ansible.utils collections, first-boot localhost inventory, and setup documentation without claiming upstream endorsement.
Launch the approved version on t3.medium with at least 16 GiB encrypted root storage and at least 2 GiB RAM. Connect with AWS Systems Manager as ubuntu or restrict SSH to your administrative CIDR. First boot writes ansible.cfg, hosts and a vault password file; nothing sensitive is baked into the image. ansible-core does not listen on a TCP port and does not start playbooks automatically. There is no AWX or web UI. Keep credentials out of recordings and tickets.
The standard software fee is described in the AWS Marketplace offer terms. EC2, EBS and data-transfer charges are billed separately. See the offer terms for applicable billing promotions.
After launch, wait for cloud-init to finish, then follow the bundled README for configuration, backup and day-2 operations.

This listing uses one usage-based pricing dimension, billed by the hour on a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance. You pay the hourly software rate for each hour the instance runs. There are no tiers or quantity commitments to choose between. The software is delivered as an Amazon Machine Image that launches in your own AWS account. AWS infrastructure costs such as EC2 compute, storage, and data transfer are billed separately from this software charge. Any third-party services you connect may also carry their own charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get on the t3.medium hourly dimension, and how is a billed hour counted?
You get the software running on a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance, a two-vCPU general-purpose size. You pay the hourly software rate for each hour the instance runs in your AWS account. The product ships as an Amazon Machine Image that you launch yourself.
Am I charged the software rate when the instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running time, so a stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS costs such as attached storage may still apply while stopped. EC2 compute, networking, and data transfer are billed by AWS separately from this software charge.
What costs are not included in the hourly software price?
AWS infrastructure such as EC2 compute, storage, and data transfer is billed separately. Any model providers, messaging platforms, or other outside services you connect may charge their own fees. You also supply your own credentials after launch, since none are included in the image.
