SCOPE OF REVIEW: THE 2-LAYER APPROACH
We evaluate your workload against AWS best practices across two distinct layers:
Layer 1: The Data Specialization (Performance & Cost) We optimize the specific high-performance services that drive your budget and latency. This covers what automated tools miss:
- Relational Database (RDS / Aurora): IOPS adequacy, storage auto-scaling, slow query logs, and failover tuning.

Layer 2: The Foundation (Security, DevOps & Infra) We perform a comprehensive automated scan of your general cloud environment to ensure basic hygiene and governance:
- Resource Inventory & Visibility: Full multi-region discovery of EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM assets to identify blind spots and unattached resources.
- Security & Identity Posture: Surface-level checks for critical gaps: Open Security Groups, S3 public access, MFA status, and IAM inline policy detection.
- Cost & Waste Detection: Automated identification of "Low Hanging Fruit" such as idle EC2 instances, old EBS volumes, and unused Load Balancers.
- Reliability & Config Hygiene: Checks for Single-AZ deployments, missing backup configurations, unencrypted resources, and tagging inconsistencies.
