Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance of Debian 10 with GigaOps Patch Guard. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, and the software rate is set per instance type. General-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, GPU, and high-memory families are all covered. Larger instance sizes within a family carry higher hourly rates than smaller sizes. You select the instance type that fits your workload, and billing follows the hours that instance runs. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one running AWS EC2 instance of a specific type, such as m5.xlarge or c6i.large. You are billed for each hour that instance runs. The rate covers the Debian 10 image with GigaOps Patch Guard on that single instance. Each running instance is metered separately.
The software rate meters running hours only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS resources like attached storage may still bill separately through AWS. Charges resume once you restart the instance and it runs again.
This is pay-as-you-go. No upfront commitment applies. You pick the instance type that fits your workload, and billing follows the hours that instance runs. If you run a larger instance size, the hourly software rate is higher than for a smaller size in the same family.
