You pay by the hour for this hardened AlmaLinux 8 image, billed per running instance. Pricing is not one flat rate. Instead, each rate maps to a specific AWS ARM-based (Graviton) EC2 instance type. The many dimensions cover instance families like t4g, m6g, c6g, r6g, x2gd, im4gn, is4gen, g5g, and a1. Within each family, the hourly rate scales with instance size, from nano and medium up to metal and 16xlarge. You choose the instance type that fits your workload. You only pay for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you launch. You pay the hourly rate tied to that instance type for each hour it runs. Larger instances carry a higher rate. Running several instances bills each one separately, then adds those charges together.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue the software fee. Underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS charges. Only running hours count toward this listing's per-instance rate.
