You pay by the hour for this Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS image with a graphical desktop and vendor support. Pricing is usage-based, so you are billed only for the hours each instance runs. Each dimension matches a specific AWS EC2 instance type, from small shared instances up to large memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal options. The hourly software rate scales with the size and capability of the instance you choose. You select the instance type that fits your workload, and larger instances carry higher hourly rates. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly software rate actually cover, and what am I billed separately for?
The hourly rate covers the Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS image with a graphical desktop and vendor support from TIOV IT. You pay this fee for each hour an instance runs. AWS charges for the underlying EC2 compute, storage, and data transfer apply separately and appear on your AWS bill.
Am I charged the software fee when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software fee meters running hours only. When you stop an instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply while the instance is stopped, but those are separate AWS infrastructure charges, not the TIOV IT software fee.
How do I choose which instance-type dimension to run, and can I switch later?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type, covering shared, compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal families. Pick the type that fits your workload's CPU, memory, and performance needs. You can launch a new instance on a different type at any time and are billed at that type's hourly rate.
