An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Connecting to the Virtual Machine
To connect to your instance, use SSH over port 22. The default username for this image is admin.

Security Configuration
This image is pre-hardened with over 200 security controls applied by default. No additional setup or configuration is required after launch.
You can begin using the virtual machine immediately with a secure baseline already in place.
Accessing Docker
Docker is pre-installed on this instance.
To confirm Docker is installed, open a terminal and run the following command: docker --version
This will display the installed Docker Engine version.
To run a sample container, use this command: docker run hello-world
This command will pull a test image from Docker Hub and launch a container to verify that Docker is working correctly. You should see a message confirming that Docker is operational.
Additional Details
- No additional external resources are required for the product to function.
- There are no credentials, access keys, or tokens in place that need to be rotated.
- No customer data is collected by this software at any point.
