AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the AWS Graviton (ARM64) instance size you run. Pricing scales with instance size across several instance families, so you match cost to the CPU, memory, and network throughput your workload needs. Smaller instances like c8gn.large or the xlarge sizes handle lighter routing loads, while larger sizes up to c8gn.48xlarge support higher throughput. The full software feature set is included at every size, with no separate charges for features, capacity, or throughput. TAC Enterprise support is included. Your total hourly cost combines this software rate with the underlying AWS compute charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover — a virtual machine, a physical server, or a user?
You pay per running instance-hour for one Graviton (ARM64) virtual machine. Each instance size, such as c8gn.large or c8gn.48xlarge, maps to a set CPU, memory, and network profile. You are billed for one virtual machine at a time, not per user, tunnel, or connection.
Am I charged the software rate when an instance is stopped or powered off?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance does not accrue this hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply while an instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
How does moving to a larger instance size change what I pay?
The hourly software rate rises with instance size, from smaller sizes like c8gn.large up to c8gn.48xlarge. Moving up is manual — you launch the size you need. The software feature set stays the same at every size, with no separate feature, capacity, or throughput charges.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
