Philips IntelliSpace Radiology on AWS is a PACS system designed to streamline the management and distribution of medical images across healthcare enterprises. Philips IntelliSpace Radiology on AWS integrates the PACS clinical depth and workflow with AWS cloud accessibility, scalability, and security for agile, secure radiology operations.
Philips IntelliSpace Radiology on AWS is fully hosted within Amazon Web Services, supporting object storage, auto scaling, and other AWS functionalities. This will empower customers to retire on-premises infrastructure, while improving operational efficiency through AWS scalability and management.
Highlights
No Data Center Management: By integrating with AWS cloud, Philips IntelliSpace Radiology on AWS eliminates the need for on-prem data center management, providing agile and secure radiology operations.
Security, Data Privacy & Integrity: The system ensures robust security measures, data privacy, and integrity, which are crucial given the increasing number of cyberattacks and the high cost of healthcare data breaches.
High Availability & Redundancy: Philips IntelliSpace Radiology on AWS guarantees high availability and redundancy for uninterrupted patient care. This includes geographic redundancy and redundant network connectivity leveraging AWS Direct Connect services.
Scalability & Future Readiness: The system is designed to scale up services as imaging needs grow, simplify maintenance, and streamline the deployment of new releases and feature upgrades. It also assists you in leveraging cloud-based clinical and generative AI applications to address future challenges.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract prices a cloud-based radiology imaging platform using many usage inputs. You size the deal by counting DICOM studies per year across radiology, cardiology, and mammography, plus non-DICOM, prior, read-and-drop, and migrated studies. Average study size fields (radiology, cardiology, mammography, and small/medium/large non-DICOM) set storage volume. Other dimensions capture study growth, peak ingestion and export, disaster recovery in a separate AWS Region, security licenses, and data egress above a threshold. Concurrent ISR and ISE user counts set access capacity. Together these independent measures scale the total contract to your imaging workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one DICOM study for billing, and how do prior and migrated studies differ?
A DICOM study is one imaging exam stored in the medical imaging standard. New studies are counted per year by specialty: radiology, cardiology, mammography. Prior studies are older exams retained for comparison. Migrated studies are existing exams moved into the AWS cloud. Each category is counted and priced separately.
Which dimensions drive most of the cost as my imaging volume grows?
Yearly study counts and average study sizes together set your storage volume, which usually drives the bill. Study counts multiply by size to size storage. Concurrent ISR and ISE user counts add access capacity charges. Peak ingestion, export, disaster recovery, security licenses, and egress above threshold bill independently and appear on the same contract.
How does the disaster recovery dimension affect what I pay?
The separate AWS Region disaster recovery dimension covers a copy of your imaging environment in a second AWS Region. You are charged when this recovery option is included in your contract. It scales with your protected imaging workload. Contact the vendor for how standby resources are metered.
