Since every cloud adoption journey is unique, there is no single one-size-fits-all model for mass migration. The situation is especially complex in larger organizations where there can be much discrepancy between the cloud adoption rates of individual business units and departments. It is likely that some parts of your organization are mature enough to migrate to the cloud and reap the benefits immediately, whereas others are not. Understanding this, then acting accordingly, is essential to orchestrate a seamless approach.

We determine which parts of your business are already in a good position to migrate to AWS, and which require improvement. By identifying cloud readiness gaps, and suggesting how they might be resolved, we pave the way for a smoother experience. When potential problems are foreseen it reduces the risk of unexpected disruptions which might otherwise slow things down.

Our experienced consultant will engage people from different parts of the organization in an interactive workshop. They will elicit key information which indicates cloud readiness in relation to the six perspectives of AWS Cloud Adoption Framework. After the workshop, you will receive a full debrief, a heat map representing cloud readiness across the business and recommended next steps. This assessment can be conducted as a standalone project or integrated with other workshops and cloud migration services.

Achieving their engagement at this stage helps streamline and accelerate the overall migration process.

• Scheduling - Suggested attendees include the C-suite as well as business unit owners, head of IT finance and leaders of security, network, infrastructure and operations. If some people can only make part of the session, we will adapt the structure accordingly.

• Facilitation- An experienced DevOpsGroup consultant will run an interactive workshop to fully assess your organization in relation to the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework. We will engage participants and elicit important information that indicates cloud readiness.

• Analysis - After the workshop, we will summarise our observations and prepare a heat map representing cloud readiness across different parts of your business. We will also draw up recommended next steps to help ensure a smooth cloud migration process.

• Debrief - In this session, we will take you through a suggested action plan aligned with the five perspectives of AWS Cloud Adoption Framework. This will cover important areas such as cloud security, operational maturity and employee skills.

• Outcomes - The AWS Migration Readiness Assessment identifies issues that could hinder progress before you dedicate effort and resource to mass migration. It ensures the wider organization understands what needs to happen to enable a seamless experience.
